BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Space Coast Neuropsychology Center, lead by Christine M. Salinas, Psy.D., celebrated their Grand Opening with a ribbon cutting on Wednesday evening. Space Coast Neuropsychology is located in The 1900 Building, located at 1900 South Harbor City Boulevard in Melbourne. 

Space Coast Neuropsychology Center specialty clinics include infant-preschool, sports concussion, epilepsy, child-teen and adult. We offer innovative neuropsychological evaluations and evidence based treatments for children and adults.

“We understand the cognitive, emotional and biological aspects of brain and medical disorders,” said Dr. Salinas.

“We are here to help you, your child, and/or loved one thrive at home, school, work, and in the community. The Center now serves children and young adults from birth to 40 years old.”

Dr. Salinas is one of the few bilingual Spanish/English neuropsychologists in Florida with expertise in cultural neuropsychology.

She trained and worked in leading teaching hospitals including Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School and Emory University Medical School.

“Our team applies a neurodevelopmental systems approach to evaluation in which we care for the whole person and we think about how the brain and behavior changes as we grow,” said Dr. Salinas.

“We examine the different contexts, including cultural, family and social, that shape one’s development. Treatment is family centered and tailored to each patient’s needs. We work with you and your doctors to provide complete care and support positive outcomes.”

Dr. Salinas received specialty training in working with children and adults who have neurological conditions by well known doctors in her field. She has consulted with physicians and scientists who are among the best in the world and helped develop the epilepsy neuropsychology program at Florida Hospital.

She is adjunct faculty at Florida Tech and UCF with 17 publications and over 35 national/international conference presentations. Professionally, she is active and holds leadership positions at the national level.
