Eastern Florida State Improves To 7-1 With 75-54 Win Over Baltimore City Community College

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball team won its third straight, defeating Baltimore City Community College 75-54 Friday afternoon in the Monroe Classic in New York.

The Titans, who improved to 7-1 on the season, held Baltimore City to 38 percent from the field in the win.
Kareem Brewton led the way with 24 points while Austin Awad finished with 15 points and nine rebounds.

“Great win for our guys against a tough and physical Baltimore City team that had won six in a row,” Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball coach Jeremy Shulman said.

“It was a tough grind-it-out game, but we really defended well today and Eli Farrakhan was huge for us off the bench late in the game.”

Ahmed Ali had 12 points and Eli Abaev scored eight points in the win. The Titans will play host Monroe College on the final day of the tourney.
