UPDATE: Titusville Police Arrest One Suspect Tied To Armed Robbery That Forced Employees Into Walk-In Freezer

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the Ice House Foods Restaurant armed robbery that occurred on Monday, according to Amy Matthews of the Titusville Police Department.

At approximately 9:30 p.m. Monday evening, at least two suspects, one of which was armed with a firearm, entered the back door of the restaurant, located at 2850 South Washington Avenue, forced the employees into a walk in freezer and stole money from the business office.

“Even though video surveillance footage showed the suspect had concealed his identity by covering his face and wearing long sleeved clothing, Titusville Police Detectives were able to vigilantly follow up on multiple leads and arresting 31-year-old Andrew Allen Leighton of Titusville, at around 9:30 a.m. on Friday,” said Matthews.

Leighton was charged with Robbery with a Firearm and is currently being held at the Brevard County jail without bond.

According to authorities, detectives are still searching for at least two more suspects in connection with the Ice House Foods Restaurant Armed Robbery, where one person is suspected of pistol whipping an employee and the other is suspected of driving the getaway vehicle, described possibly as a small silver SUV.
