UPDATE: CODE BLACK Alert Issued At Astronaut High School Lifted, School To Reopen Tomorrow

School placed under Code Black at Around 11 a.m.

UPDATE: The CODE BLACK alert issued at Astronaut High School has been lifted and will reopen tomorrow morning, according to Brevard Public Schools.
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – According to Brevard Public Schools, Astronaut High is advising parents who want to voluntarily check-out their student to report to War Eagle Blvd. for pick-up.
Parents must present their positive state-issued ID for release of their student.
However, students with personal vehicles on campus are NOT permitted to move them at this time.
Administration will notify parents when student vehicles can leave campus. Bus transportation will operate on the normal early dismissal schedule, unless otherwise instructed.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Astronaut High School has been placed under Code Black Wednesday morning after an alleged threat.
Below is a statement from Brevard Public Schools:
Astronaut High has been placed on a code black due to an alleged threat. All students and staff have been evacuated as a precaution.
As always, BPS is working with Titusville PD and BCSO, while they survey the campus to ensure the safety of all our students.
We will provide you with an update when students and staff at Astronaut High are able to return to the building.
