Former President George H.W. Bush Hospitalized In Texas; Listed In Stable Condition

TEXAS – Former President George H.W. Bush has been hospitalized, says his office chief of staff to CBS Houston affiliate KHOU-TV.

Bush’s office expects the former President to go home in a couple of days.

Jean Becker, who has served as Bush’s chief of staff since 1994, told KHOU-TV that Bush is expected to remain in hospital for a couple of days.

She said the former president, who is 92 years old, is in stable condition and is “doing fine.”

Bush is the oldest living former President and Vice President.

The 41st President has encountered a number of health problems over the last few years, including a form of Parkinson’s disease that forced him into a wheelchair.

Due to his health, he will be only President to miss Friday’s inauguration of the newly elected President-Elect Donald Trump.
