ABOVE VIDEO: The Cocoa Village Mardi was created by Brevard Productions, Inc. and will present the first annual Titusville Mardi Gras Street Party and Parade on Saturday, February 11 in historic downtown Titusville.
BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Historic downtown Titusville will transform into a New Orleans style French Quarter during the Titusville Mardi Gras Street Party and Parade, set for Saturday, February 11.
ENTER THE PARADE
All types of organizations are encouraged to enter the parade. The parade will take place at 8 p.m. and will proceed through the main street party area, with over 100,000 beads being tossed for all the crowds to enjoy. This will be a wonderful celebration for the City of Titusville.
There will be professional floats as you would see in New Orleans Mardi Gras parades and a wide variety of trailers, trucks, and all sorts of vehicles decorated to celebrate Mardi Gras, the city of Titusville and the Brevard lifestyle.

Professional Floats: Includes your choice of a Mardi Gras themed professional float and driver, music sound system on float, organization name on float and event posters, beads for tossing to the crowd.
Includes 20 tickets to the VIP party on Saturday night (which also includes admission to the Mardi Gras) Deadline to be included in marketing December 1, 2016. $2495 cost.

Business Partner Float: Includes a position in the parade for your decorated float or vehicle, an exhibit booth at the street party, 4 VIP tickets and 8 general admission tickets. Includes float entry and beads. Does not include professional float. $495 cost.
Personal Floats: Includes a position in the parade for your decorated personal float, 2 VIP tickets and 8 general admission tickets with beads for tossing to the crowd. $295 cost.
Non-Profit Float: Includes a position in the parade for your float, 6 general admission tickets. with beads provided. Must submit and have approved non- profit float application. $195 cost.
5 K RUN AND WALK SPONSORED BY TITUSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL
Titusville High School will sponsor the Mardi Gras Madness 5K Run and Walk beginning at 4 pm on February 11. People wishing to enter may call 321-264-3100 ext. 5106 or email Berley.Jaqueline@brevardschools.org.

Registration is $25 for students and $30 for adults and includes entry into the race, an Official Mardi Gras Madness T-Shirt and discounted access into the Mardi Gras Street Party & Parade ($8 when wearing the Mardi Gras Madness 5K Run/Walk Official T-Shirt – must be wearing the T-Shirt to receive the discount).
The deadline to register for the 5K is January 27,2017 – in order to guarantee a T-shirt size. People may sign up after January 27 by calling the same phone number.
The 5K will begin at Pine Street at 4 pm sharp and will finish at Julia Street. The awards presentation will take place on the Space Coast Daily stage next to the Titusville Welcome Center at 4:45 p.m.

Terrier Sound and Cheer teams from Titusville High School will lead the 2016 Titusville Mardi Gras parade at 8 pm.
TICKETS: Admission tickets for the Titusville Mardi Gras may be purchased in advance at any central Florida Walgreens beginning January 12 or only $8. Tickets may also be purchased at Bar IX for $8 starting on December 20. Tickets purchased at the gates on the day of the event will be $12 per person. Children under the age of 3 are free.
VIP PARTY AND TICKETS: There will be a special VIP Party in the courtyard next to Bar IX restaurant beginning at 6 pm. VIP ticket holders will receive access to the VIP Party, a souvenir mardi gras mask, a delicious cajun style buffet, a Titusville Mardi Gras souvenir goblet with beverage, and a special viewing area for the parade of floats. VIP tickets may be purchased at any Walgreens store for $29 beginning January 12.
RIDES, GAMES AND FUN AT THE TITUSVILLE FAIR DURING MARDI GRAS
During the Titusville Mardi Gras, there will be more than 100 rides, games, food stands and shows at the Titusville Fair, February 9 -19 just a short walk from downtown Titusville at Sand Point Park. Ticket holders for the Mardi Gras will receive fair admission and unlimited rides for just $12 on February 11.

The Titusville Mardi Gras will feature six live bands on two premier stages, including rock legends Molly Hatchet on the Welcome Center Stage and high energy rock band, The Supervillains, who a fun, fan-loving powerhouse. The Supervillains have crafted a sound distinctly their own; fresh, fun and embodied by the soul of the party lifestyle.
There will be stilt walkers, marching bands, jugglers, strolling musicians and much more to create a festive family atmosphere in the streets of downtown Titusville.

Other bands performing before Molly Hatchet include Western Atlantic and Banjoman Franklin. Opening bands for the north stage include No Need, Coastal Breed and Chief Cherry.
“Our company created the Cocoa Village Mardi Gras, and downtown Titusville is a great location for a similar event,” said Giles Malone, partner with Brevard Productions Inc. who will produce the event in cooperation with several local sponsors.
“We feel that the Titusville community and downtown patrons will thoroughly enjoy a fun, family style Mardi Gras Street Party and Parade like the one we created in Cocoa Village,” said Malone.
The 5-block area of downtown Titusville will be the venue for the Mardi Gras beginning at 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 11 and ending at 1 a.m. on Sunday, February 12. Live musical entertainment will begin on all stages at 5 p.m., with each stage featuring a different genre of music.

“This is going to be an awesome event for our city”, said Voncile Franklin, of Franklin Productions, who is on the local organizing committee for the Titusville Mardi Gras.
“This type of family event is great for Titusville as it will have quality entertainment, will provide a celebratory meeting point for our community and will have a strong economic impact for our local businesses.”
ABOVE VIDEO: The large parking area at the south end of the street party will be the location for the Space Coast Daily Stage where southern-rock legends Molly Hatchet will perform in concert.
DELICIOUS CAJUN FOOD AND BEVERAGES
And if you like to eat Cajun style food, there will be plenty to choose from. Delicious Shrimp and grits, crawdads, red beans and rice, Jambalaya, Po’ Boy sandwiches and much more will be on offer at the Titusville Mardi Gras.
Miller Lite, Blue Moon, Leinenkugel and Fosters will be featured beers at multiple bars throughout the celebration.
