BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Several elected officials and school board members are scheduled to appear at an open house at Brevard Public Schools’ Educational Services Facility on Tuesday for the unveiling of a new onsite health center.

The Well-Care Center, which opened in December, is a new initiative to offer onsite health services to more than 6,600 employees and their families.

Two additional well-care centers will open later this year at Andrew Jackson Middle in Titusville and at Central Middle in West Melbourne.

The onsite center is part of a partnership with Marathon Health, LLC, whose clinicians provide total population health management services, including primary care services, health assessments, lifestyle coaching and chronic condition coaching.

The decision to implement an onsite healthcare program was based on BPS’ commitment to the wellbeing of employees, retirees and their families.

“We believe these onsite health centers will offer significant benefits to our employees and their families by increasing access to quality care and decreasing their health care costs,” said Mark Langdorf, director of benefits and risk management.

“We look forward to the open house and the opportunity to show how we are changing healthcare delivery.”
