Pedestrian On Bicycle Seriously Injured In Crash With Vehicle In Cocoa

COCOA POLICE RESPONDS TO CRASH

A man was taken to the hospital in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle Wednesday evening at the intersection of Fiske Boulevard and Dixon Boulevard in Cocoa at about 8 p.m.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – A man was taken to the hospital in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle Wednesday evening at the intersection of Fiske Boulevard and Dixon Boulevard in Cocoa at about 8 p.m.

According to Yvonne Martinez, Cocoa Police Public Information Officer, patrol officers responded to the reported traffic accident, which involved a pedestrian on a bicycle.

“When officers arrived on scene they found an adult male had been struck by an SUV,” said Martinez.

The male victim was in the roadway on Dixon Boulevard, just west of the intersection.

“Traffic homicide investigators are currently documenting the scene and interviewing witnesses,” said Martinez.  “The driver of the SUV is cooperative.”

No information is currently available about the identity or age of the male victim and the investigation is ongoing.
