8 SCAT Bus passengers, Driver Transported To Hospital

Titusville Police are investigating a traffic crash with multiple injuries involving a Space Coast Area Transit (SCAT) Bus and another vehicle that occurred on Thursday afternoon.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police are investigating a traffic crash with multiple injuries involving a Space Coast Area Transit (SCAT) Bus and another vehicle that occurred on Thursday afternoon, according to authorities.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that at around 12:25 p.m. a SCAT bus heading westbound on Garden Street, attempted to turn into the St. John’s Plaza parking lot, located at 3235 Garden St., and struck a Ford F Series truck that was traveling eastbound on Garden St.

Eight passengers from the SCAT bus were ground transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Amy Matthews of the Titusville Police Department.

The driver of the truck was airlifted to a nearby hospital.

This is an active ongoing traffic crash investigation being conducted by the Titusville Police Department.
