**UPDATE**BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA –  According to Palm Bay Police, a 17-year-old woman who was involved in Wednesday’s vehicle vs pedestrian collision has died as a result of her injuries.

The identity of the teenager is not yet known at this time.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The Palm Bay Police and Fire Department have issued a traffic advisory after an incident Wednesday afternoon on Emerson Drive NW at Glencove Avenue NW.

According to Palm Bay Police Lt. Mike Bandish, Emerson Drive is shut down in both directions.

“A vehicle hit a pedestrian,” said authorities via Facebook.

Police said that the road will be shut down for an extended period of time and to please avoid the area.

The condition of the pedestrian has not been released at this time.
