Titusville Rotary Club’s 13th Annual 2017 Chili Cook Off Set For February 25

Titusville Rotary Club and Titusville Sunrise Rotary, members of Rotary International, announced that they are partnering with Sculptor Charter School to bring two great events to one location on February 25 in Sand Point Park: Rotary’s 13th Annual Chili Cook-Off and Sculptor Charter’s Family FIT Fest and A. BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Rotary Club and Titusville Sunrise Rotary, members of Rotary International, announced that they are partnering with Sculptor Charter School to bring two great events to one location on February 25 in Sand Point Park:  Rotary’s 13th Annual Chili Cook-Off and Sculptor Charter’s Family FIT Fest and A. Max Brewer Bridge 5k.

As a result of these festivities, the following road closure will occur:

Max Brewer Memorial Parkway will be closed to all traffic from 5:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. between Indian River Ave. and the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge Information Center.

Both events are open to the public.

The Titusville Chili Cook-Off hosted by the Rotary Clubs of Titusville will feature more than 25 local chefs preparing their favorite chili recipes. 

Live music throughout the event will set the tone for a fun evening of sampling and socializing. 

Chili tasting begins at 6 p.m. and every taster will cast a vote to decide the coveted People’s Choice Award.  Tickets for the sampling of chili are available in advance for $8 or at the event for $10. 

Advance tickets are available at the Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce and from any Titusville Rotarian.

Sculptor Charter School hosts the 7th Annual A. Max Brewer Bridge 5K returning this year with the popular “Ready, Set, GLOW!” theme.  The Family FIT Fest begins at 4:30 p.m. to kick-off this fun, family friendly event and the 5k begins at 6 p.m. After the race, celebrate with the Rotary Clubs of Titusville’s 13th Annual Titusville Chili Cook-Off. 

The 5k race entry includes access to the chili cook-off as well as other goodies.  Receive a discount by registering before February 13, 2017.

All proceeds from the race go to Sculptor Charter School.  Register for the race at www.sculptorcharter.org

The FIT Fest and Late Race Registration/Packet Pickup will be at Sand Point Park’s main pavillion.  The 5k route will begin and finish in Sand Point Park.  The course will include crossing over A. Max Brewer Bridge with one water station at the halfway point.
