BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa Police are currently looking for two suspects who are seen on a homeowner’s security camera breaking into a vehicle and stealing a firearm.
According to Yvonne Martinez of the Cocoa Police Department, the burglary occurred somewhere between 8-8:45 a.m. on Tuesday on the 900 block of Varr Avenue.
According to the victim, he arrived home around 8 a.m. Tuesday and left his vehicle unlocked in the driveway.
Proximately 45 minutes later, he went to lock the doors but did not immediately check to see if anything was missing.
However, later in the day the victim entered his vehicle and noticed items were scattered throughout and his handgun was missing from the glove box.

After reviewing the video from his security camera, the victim saw two unidentified black males, one on a bicycle, circling the roadway in front of his home.
The video then showed one of the males entering the vehicle, while the other circled the roadway on the bicycle appearing to act as a “lookout,” say police.
Moments later, the video shows the suspect exit the vehicle examining an item in this hand. The other male runs over and appears to take the item and conceal it. Both male suspects are seen leaving the area heading south on Varr Ave.
The suspects are described as two black males, both are thin and appear to be juveniles, according to Cocoa Police.
One male suspect is described as having a short fade hair style with a black long sleeve jacket containing a white stripe down the sleeves.
The other suspect appears to have short “dreads” or may be wearing some type of hat, say police.
