Drive-By Shooting On I-95 Overpass Injures Two Men, Palm Bay Police Investigating

Palm Bay Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that occurred Wednesday morning at around 2 a.m. on I-95 overpass near Palm Bay Rd. that resulted in two men being shot.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that occurred Wednesday morning at around 2 a.m. on I-95 overpass near Palm Bay Rd. that resulted in two men being shot.

According to Lt. Mike Bandish of the Palm Bay Police Department,  two men were driving westbound on Palm Bay Rd. when they said a vehicle pulled up next to them and fired several shots into their vehicle.

The shooting happened on top of the I-95 overpass and the suspect vehicle fled west on Palm Bay Rd. towards Minton Rd.

One of the men that was shot was transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne with non-life threatening injuries, while the other man stayed on scene with a minor injury.

“The victims said they just left “PinUps” club located at 2585 Palm Bay Rd. and believe the incident occurred due to an altercation that had occurred earlier in the night at the club,” said Lt. Bandish

Detectives are reviewing surveillance video in the club and will release video, along with the vehicle description when they confirm the information.
