Eastern Florida State Alumni Association Seeks Competitors For BBQ Cook-Off and Family Fest

A $1,000 grand prize is at stake in the Backyard BBQ Cook-Off and Family Fest on Saturday, March 11, with a February 28 deadline for cook-off teams to register plus discounted pre-purchase event tickets available now.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – A $1,000 grand prize is at stake in the Backyard BBQ Cook-Off and Family Fest on Saturday, March 11, with a February 28 deadline for cook-off teams to register plus discounted pre-purchase event tickets available now.

The event is sponsored by the EFSC Alumni Association and will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Melbourne Campus located at 3865 N. Wickham Road.

This amateur contest pits cook-off teams against each other competing for a grand prize of $1,000, trophies and, most importantly, bragging rights.

Teams are needed! Registration is $75 per team of up to five members (one team captain and up to four assistants). The deadline to register a team is Tuesday, February 28.

Event tickets are available for purchase at $15 per person day of or $12 in advance. Tickets for EFSC students with a valid student ID are $10.

The first 100 advance tickets sold will be entered into a drawing for a gas barbeque grill donated by Home Depot Store #6381.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the EFSC Athletic Booster Club.
