BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa Police Department have a new K9 pup named ‘Copper’ and he is already impressing officers within the department.

Below is a message from the Cocoa Police Department:

K9 Copper’s first official hide and seek exercise. He is searching for Officer Brian Delos Santos. Copper is only 5-months-old and his natural instinct is to track.

This is invaluable for our police department when it comes to missing persons cases. Copper will be taken to the place where the missing person was last known to have been.

As you will see in this video when he sniffs the location where Officer Delos Santos last was before he ran to hide, Copper, guided by Officer Chris Hattaway, picks up the track pretty easily! Then he ran right to Officer Delos Santos!!!

What a good boy!
