Walmart To Open Training Academy In Viera Supercenter, First in Central Florida

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – The Viera Walmart, located at 8500 N. Wickham Road, will house one of Walmart’s expected 200 Training Academies scheduled to open across the country by the end of 2017.

The Training Academies are a dedicated facility where the company’s front-line supervisors will receive hands-on training that combines the classroom and the sales floor.

The training will help department managers and hourly supervisors gain both core retail skills and the skills and knowledge to run their specific department.

Academies are a dedicated facility located in, or adjacent to, a Walmart Supercenter where hourly supervisors and department managers will receive two weeks of hands-on training that combines both the classroom and the sales floor.
