BREVARD COUNTY • EAU GALLIE, FLORIDA – The BCSO “Enforcers” basketball team recently took on the Eau Gallie High School Commodores boys varsity basketball team in our annual Kids vs. Law Enforcement game at the EGHS gymnasium.

This is the fourth year in a row that EGHS has invited us back to help raise money for their Anti-Bullying Club. The game was played before a packed house of students who purchased tickets to attend the game during the last class of the day.

All of the proceeds go to the Eau Gallie High School Anti-Bullying Club to help develop and present programs that are designed to decrease incidents of bullying in our community.

While the game was close throughout, the Enforcers hung on to secure a 70-65 victory in a game that was filled with great shooting, slam dunks, and tremendous sportsmanship between the two teams.

I would like to personally thank the Faculty and Staff at Eau Gallie High School for allowing us to play the game, the EGHS Basketball Players who truly showed their talents and incredible character during the game, the “Enforcers” who each volunteer their time to play on the team, and of course the students who attended for their support of the Basketball Program and our agency!

I would also like to give a special thank you, to Brevard Public School Superintendent Dr. Desmond Blackburn who was in attendance and joined me at halftime to speak to the kids about just how fortunate we are to live in a community where Law Enforcement and citizens work together to keep everyone safe.
