City of Rockledge Promotes James Elmore To Wastewater Treatment, Reclamation Director

HAS WORKED FOR ROCKLEDGE SINCE 1980

BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – The City of Rockledge congratulates James “Jim” Elmore on his forthcoming promotion to Wastewater Treatment and Water Reclamation Director for the City’s Wastewater Treatment and Water Reclamation Department.

Elmore’s tenure with the City began on January 7, 1980, and he has served in the capacity of Assistant Wastewater Treatment and Water Reclamation Director for the past 22 years.

Prior to that, Elmore held the position of Assistant Utilities Coordinator.

“We are delighted that we were able to promote from within our organization,” said City Manager Dr. Brenda Fettrow.

“We are very fortunate to have a number of talented individuals serving in all of our departments, and I have every confidence that Jim will do an outstanding job,” Fettrow said.

Elmore takes the reins from current Wastewater Treatment and Water Reclamation Director, Alan LaDuke, who will retire in April 2017 after 37 years of devoted service to the City.

“To say that Alan will be missed is an understatement,” said Fettrow. “He has been a tremendous asset to the City of Rockledge and its citizens for nearly four decades.”

Elmore’s promotion becomes effective on March 27, providing for an overlap of approximately one month, which will help to ensure a seamless transition in leadership at the department.

LaDuke, whose official last day is April 28, will participate in his final City Council meeting on April 19.
