Lawrence (Larry) James Traber, 82, of Palm Bay, Florida passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.

He attended Duke University, then served in the U.S. Army from 1955 – 1957, before graduating from North Carolina State University with a degree in Architecture in 1962.

Larry established a successful practice in Asheville, serving clients in North Carolina and Florida through 2014. He was truly grateful for all of those with whom he had the opportunity to work over the years.

His innovative contemporary designs have been featured in publications such as Architectural Digest and NC Modernist. Those who knew Larry will remember his relentless attention to detail, dry sense of humor, and contagious laughter that could fill a room.
