South gate hours change for 24-hours access

The Patrick AFB South and East Gate (formerly known as the Main gate), will permanently swap operating hours beginning March 6, 2017.

BREVARD COUNTY •  PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, FLORIDA – The Patrick AFB South and East Gate (formerly known as the Main gate), will permanently swap operating hours.

The hours will change beginning on Monday, March 6.

The East gate hours of operation will change to open at 6 a.m. and close at 10 p.m.

The South gate hours will change to be accessible 24-hours.

This change is designed to enhance safety for patrons, to increase security across the base, and to maximize efficiency of operations.

The following is the new and permanent gate installation hours of operation beginning March 6, 2017:

  • The EAST Gate:  will close at 10 p.m. and open daily 6 a.m.
  • The SOUTH Gate:  will open at 6 a.m. and remain open for 24-hours, with daily access from then forward.
