BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – This season brings fresh changes to hair trends. The crazy color trends and vibrant hues will calm down this Spring to muted tones.

We will see golden yellows and copper tones in place of vibrant reds. As well as steel greys and softer highlights.

Don’t feel like touching up those roots? Have no fear, the “bronde” color is right on trend.

This is the hair color you’ll see everywhere in 2017. Not quite bombshell blonde, not quite rich brunette, bronde is the happy medium hair color.

Grown in hair color and roots are a super low maintenance look.

Bangs are back. Full choppy to wispy baby bangs. All things 90s are all the rage. Sleek and straight is still a current look but make sure to protect from the heat of flat irons. You can keep your center or side part but more natural looks will prevail.

Afros and curls will be in full bloom this spring as well.

Change up your bob. The even bob is on trend rather than longer in the front shorter in the back. Aim for shoulder length. Worn straight or wavy, with or without bangs, the bob is still a classic choice with a current update.

The lob still works and will remain a great option. The lob is one tour de force cut that looks universally flattering on all hair types.

This cut not only strikes the perfect balance between short and long, but with striking attention to color, shape, and texture is updated with some layers and grown out length for a messier look. This is a great look for all face shapes.

Slick it back. Make it look like your hair is soaking wet. Work in large amounts of styling cream from roots to mid-length. Fun and easy will make this an easy choice and thank goodness, the ponytail and easy braids are still a great option for 2017.

Most hair stylist are taking it back to basics with classic, timeless cuts and color. Natural tones will be prevalent although you will still be on trend with some daring choices in color.

Brunettes and blondes will see more golden tone highlights. Look for pearl blonde and natural blond together gives a subdued golden look.

Solid colors with a secondary color to highlight will create a muted tonal effect. Brunettes may choose a chocolate base with ginger highlights. Red heads start with a deep red base and add copper highlights.

We don’t forget the men. This season is a little less military and a little more James Dean. You won’t be annoyed with the man bun any longer because the man perm is back! These trends still make the statement, “be an individual.”

Getting back to the ladies, color trends continue to “wow” us. Balayage is a technique for highlighting the hair in which the dye is painted on in such a way as to create a graduated, natural-looking effect.

The sombre is a more muted version of the ombre and don’t forget hair painting. We will still see the daring versions of all these trends in pastels like pink and purple as well as the partial balayage in colors close to your own if you’re not quite ready.

Just like updating your wardrobe, you should select a fresh new look for the season in a style that works for you. Keep in mind simplicity and natural beauty is the theme this season. Consider your daily routine, schedule and lifestyle. With so many choices, you should be able to find a look you can ROCK!
