BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The “15 Minutes of Fame” film festival, sponsored by Ray and Migdalia Etheridge of Palm Bay, has been screening indie films to local audiences since 2009.

The Comfort Suites Hotel, located at 1175 Malabar Road will host the latest edition of the 15 Minutes of Fame film festival on Saturday, April 29 set to run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a new show every hour.

The festival has been a showcase for aspiring filmmakers from around the globe who have made a serious, and often expensive attempt to produce films of “Hollywood” quality.

“Many of the films come from colleges and film schools, and others come from everyday folks who simply have a story to tell,” said 15 Minutes of Fame organizer Migdalia Etheridge.

Each film submitted to the festival is graded by a panel of five judges on its technical merits, script development, acting and entertainment value. Typically, out of 100 films submitted to the festival, between 40 and 50 are selected for public viewing.
