Alice Davis Passes Away Peacefully at 103, Lived In Titusville, Florida For 35 Years

Alexina “Alice” (Perusse) Davis, 103 years of age, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2017 at the Golden Living Nursing Home in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

Alexina “Alice” (Perusse) Davis, 103 years of age, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2017 at the Golden Living Nursing Home in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

Alice was born in Hartford, Connecticut on – and was the daughter of Adelard Charles Perusse (Machinist/Fireman) and Amelia (VanderHayden) Perusse (Housewife). Alice spent her early life in Milford New Hampshire with her parents and siblings, Elsie, Lilly, Eva and Joe.

Alice was the beloved wife of Howard G. Davis, and was married on Nov. 29, 1940 at the age of 26 in South Berwick Maine. Alice was married to Howard (Skip) for over 57 years, until his death on July 29, 1997. Alice was a former longtime resident of Dover New Hampshire, and lived at Dover Point from 1944 through 1979 with her husband Skip.

After retiring as an employee of the University of New Hampshire, Alice and Skip moved to Titusville Florida, in Brevard County, where they lived for over 35 years together. Alice had two step children, Allen Davis of Dover Point New Hampshire, and Elaine (Davis) Waugh of Hingham.

Alice loved going to church at St. Theresa’s in Titusville and enjoyed cooking, and participated in bowling leagues well into her 90s. She will be remembered by her family for being an avid card and scrabble player.

At the age of 100, Alice reluctantly gave up her car, and at 101 her home in Titusville, to move to Massachusetts to be closer to family.

Alice is survived by her grandchildren, Bill and Liisa Waugh of Leavenworth KS; Joy (Waugh) Ingraham and Paul Ingraham of Marshfield, Massachusetts; Scott and Kim Waugh of Norwell, Massachusetts; and Michael, Richard and Lee Davis of Dover New Hampshire. She is also survived by her nephew Leo Brunelle and 11 great-grandchildren that she loved and adored.

The Funeral Mass and burial will be private.
