BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s golf team placed fourth in The Battle at the Shores event at Normandy Shores Golf Club in Miami Beach Tuesday.

The Titans shot 288 as a team in the final round and finished with an 867 for the three rounds. Barry University won the event with Nova Southeastern placing second and Florida Tech third. Eastern Florida State College was the only Junior College in the 16-team field.

Mathieu Echelard finished tied for fifth overall while Brad Bawden and Fraser Davren tied for 11th.

“Good event for the team this week. We struggled today but hung in there, fourth place in this field is competitive but we need to clean up the unforced errors,” Eastern Florida State College men’s golf coach Jamie Howell said.

Eastern Florida State College will take a break during Spring Break and then will prepare for the NJCAA District 4 Championships April 24-25.
