Elementary Boy On A Bike Struck, Killed By Vehicle In South Brevard

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay Police are investigating a crash involving a car fatally striking a fourth grade boy on a bike Wednesday afternoon near Eldron Blvd., north of Bayside Lakes Blvd.

Rescue crews were called to the scene at around 2 p.m. when they transported the child via ambulance. During that time, the boy was listed in serious condition but later died as a result of his injuries, as announced by the Palm Bay Police Department shortly after 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

The child reportedly left Odyssey Charter School, after the early release, when the boy was struck by the vehicle.

The identities of the driver or the boy have not yet been released, at this time.
