FHP: High Probability State Road 528, State Road 50 Will See Sudden Closures Due To Fires

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol Trooper are actively monitoring fires all over Orange and Brevard counties, according to FHP Public Affairs Officer Steven Montiero.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol Trooper are actively monitoring fires all over Orange and Brevard counties, according to FHP Public Affairs Officer Steven Montiero.

“We are currently watching a large fire in the area of east State Road 528, east State Road 50 and one in the area of State Road 417 and State Road 535,” said Trooper Montiero.

There is a very high probability State Road 528, State Road 50 and State Road 417 will see sudden road closures for extended period of times.

“We ask all drivers to have a plan and to always use caution while driving into limited visibility conditions,” said Trooper Montiero.

“Troopers will be constantly monitoring these areas. Please have patience with us as if we choose to close these roads we are doing it for the safety of the motoring public,” said Trooper Montiero.

FHP cautions drivers if you see emergency lights ahead, reduce your speed and follow directions if instructed to change your direction of travel.

“We are doing this for your safety,” said Trooper Montiero.
