Five Brevard County Teams Represented In Spectrum Sports Baseball Top 15 Rankings

FLORIDA – The top high school baseball teams in Central Florida, as selected by the Spectrum Sports staff:
1. Lake Brantley (12-2) – Patriots split last week’s district series with Olympia with both games decided by one run.
2. West Orange (14-3) – Warriors are riding an eight game winning streak heading into this week’s big district series against Lake Brantley.
3. First Academy (12-2) – Royals have scored 10 or more runs in eight of their 14 games.
4. Viera (13-3) – Hawks’ losses have come by a total of four runs with two games going to extra innings.
5. Olympia (12-4) – Titans are 3-1 in 9A, District 3 and remain in contention to grab the top seed for the district tournament.
6. Eau Gallie (12-2) – Commodores are the area’s hottest team with wins in 10 consecutive games.
7. Melbourne Central Catholic (12-2-1) – Wednesday’s loss to Satellite snapped a streak of 34 consecutive wins against Brevard County opponents.
8. Hagerty (10-5) – Both games against Lake Howell last week were decided by one run – a 4-3 loss Tuesday and a 5-4 victory on Friday.
9. South Sumter (12-0) – Raiders have shutout seven of their last eight opponents.
10. Orange City University (12-5) – Titans sit in a three way tie at the top of 9A, District 2 with Seminole and DeLand.
