Florida Tech Football Spring Game Set For Tonight At Panther Stadium, Kickoff Is 7:00 P.M.

Space Coast Daily Will Be On the Sidelines tonight

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Florida Tech Panthers have a full afternoon of activities revolving around tonight’s annual Football Spring Game at 7 p.m. ET at Florida Tech Panther Stadium.
This is the first chance for fans and the community to get a glimpse of the 2017 Panthers. Admission to the Spring Game is free to the public. Similar to previous years, head coach Steve Englehart has installed a special game format that will pit the FIT offense against the defense.
The defense will start the contest with 28 points and can add to its total through a number of ways, while the offense will have 85 plays to outscore the defense.
A full breakdown of the scoring format can be found below:
Defense Scoring (Start with 28 points) Points
- Touchdown 7 points
- Forced turnover inside the offense 30 yard line 3 points
- 4th down stop 14 to 1 yard line 3 points
- 4th down stop 29 to 15 yard line 2 points
- 4th down stop 45 to 30 yard line 1 point
- In the last 15 plays if O is ahead D will get a point for every stop 1 point.
Offense Scoring (Start with 0 points)
- Touchdown 6 points
- Extra Point 1 point
- FG 3 points

Pre-game/In-game Party and Prizes:
Prior to the game, on Florida Tech’s campus, fans will have the opportunity to participate in free games, raffles and food at Pete’s Spirit Palooza from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., hosted by Florida Tech Cheerleading and Dance at Panther Plaza.
Participants will win tickets by showing up in FIT apparel or participating in games for a chance to earn gift certificates from Meg O’Malley’s Irish Pub and Restaurant ($50) or Makoto’s Steakhouse ($75).
During the game, fans will also be able to participate in a raffle for a chance to win one of three great prizes, Beats by Dre Head Phones, Flat Screen TV, and Amazon Alexa.
Winners will be picked near the end of the first half and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be announced at halftime of the game.

No. 9 Women’s Lacrosse vs. No. 15 Regis (Colo.)
The football game will be part of a doubleheader of FIT Athletics action at Panther Stadium that day. The Panthers 9th-ranked women’s lacrosse team will take on No. 15 Regis (Colo.) at 3 p.m. in a non-conference Top 15 showdown.
Admission to the women’s lacrosse game is free of charge. All fans are encouraged to attend and cheer on the Panthers!
Parking and Stadium Info
All parking at Palm Bay High School is free of charge. The parking lots and gates open at 2 p.m. All restrooms and concessions will also be open to the public starting at 2 p.m.
No tailgating of any kind will be permitted on Palm Bay HS property.
There are also no tobacco and alcohol products allowed on the PBHS campus at any time.
No pets, with the exception of service animals, will be allowed at the venue.
