ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA — Rafael Gonzalez, 46, of Orlando, faces charges including first-degree murder after police matched blood samples from inside his bedroom to a woman whose dismembered body was found in Lake Underhill.
Gonzalez was arrested last week in connection with the death of Olivia Diggs, whose remains were found last August.
Authorities say that Diggs, a 32-year-old mother of three, was staying at a homeless shelter when she met Gonzalez on a Lynx bus on August 19.
Police allege that Gonzalez raped Diggs and killed her that same day before dumping her body in the lake.
