WEATHER ALERT: The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southwestern Brevard County until 9:30 p.m.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southwestern Brevard County until 9:30 p.m.

At 8:43 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located over Kenansville, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. IMPACT: Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. WIND: 60MPH
