SURF REPORT FOR MAY 5-7

Friday
Surfers may have to search local beaches to find the better waves today. A strong offshore wind is pushing much of a nearby easterly swell just out of our surf zones. Expect clean lines in the knee- to thigh-high range ideal for longboarding. Mid-morning’s low tide will help.
Saturday
Persistent offshore winds will decrease wave heights into the mostly knee-high range with clean micro lines possible for desperate longboarders.
Sunday
I expect surf heights to remain in the knee-high range with clean lines again from a steady offshore wind.
Cocoa Beach ocean temperatures now average 76 degrees.
