BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – I am very proud to announce that this week we initiated a Law Enforcement Academy Class exclusively for future Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Deputies.
The concept of facilitating an Academy Class for newly recruited BCSO Deputies allows us to utilize our own members to serve as the instructors for the class while filling a number of vacancies that are the direct result of retirements from longtime members of our agency.
By partnering with Dr. Jim Richey, President of Easter Florida State College, we were able to host this very unique opportunity at EFSC’s Public Safety Institute which is one of the premier facilities in the country.
I am extremely proud of our team for making this new initiative a reality by actively recruiting 21 incredible candidates to attend this academy as members of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.
The candidates will now collectively process through orientation, attend the Law Enforcement Academy, and then enter the Field Training Program where they will be fully trainied and prepared to protect you and your families in the very near future.
Please join me in congratulating this outstanding group of young professionals as they begin a new chapter in their lives, our Career Development Team for making it happen and our dear friend Dr. Richey and his wonderful staff for partnering with us and providing his resources to assist.
