BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Local runners will experience a welcomed flat surface when the popular Corporate 5K Run moves to Orlando Melbourne International Airport.
The April 19, 2018 event will welcome corporate teams from all over the region to benefit United Way of Brevard.
Led by Running Zone Foundation, Inc. and touted as the area’s largest office party, the most recent race in March gathered more than 2,000 participants from 80 companies and organizations.
“The airport offers world-class service to residents and businesses within the region, and we are honored that they have agreed to host our 2018 Corporate 5K,” said Denise Piercy, executive director of Running Zone Foundation, Inc., coordinator of the 5K.

Racers will be afforded a rare close-up view of airside corporate giants such as Embraer Executive Jets, Northrop Grumman and AeroMod International.
“Giving runners the opportunity to run on one of our airfield’s treasured runways is going to add a level of excitement and uniqueness to an already successful event,” said Clifford Graham, the airport’s director of operations and maintenance.
“It is a great opportunity for us to showcase our incredible facilities to hundreds of professionals throughout our community.”
Registration will open September 1, 2017.
