Titusville Man Arrested For Sexual Molestation of Child After Police Conduct Intensive Investigation

Titusville Police arrested 50-year-old Peter Julius Vonborstel, Jr. of Titusville on Friday for suspected sexual molestation of a child, according to Amy Matthews of the Titusville Police Department.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police arrested 50-year-old Peter Julius Vonborstel, Jr. of Titusville on Friday for suspected sexual molestation of a child, according to Amy Matthews of the Titusville Police Department.

Police say the mother of the victim reported the crime to the Titusville Police Department on April 2, and that is when authorities launched an investigation.

Detectives conducted an intensive investigation and followed valuable leads that led to the resulting arrest of Vonborstel.

Vonborstel was charged with a Life Felony of Lewd and Lascivious Molestation of a Child under 12 and Felony Lewd and Lascivious Exhibition of a Child under 12.

Vonborstel was booked into the Brevard County Jail and is being held with no bond.

Police said that Vonborstel is currently being investigated for similar crimes in another state.
