Remember...Life Jackets Save Lives!
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Recently, Deputy Taner Primmer who is assigned to our Ag/Marine Unit accidentally fell off his Airboat into about three feet of water while at the boat ramp preparing to head out on patrol along the waterways of Brevard County.
In yet another attempt to protect our citizens, Deputy Primmer literally went overboard to demonstrate that everyone should always wear their safety equipment and especially their flotation devices when boating.
Now in case you don’t recognize the name Deputy Taner Primmer, he has recently been all over Facebook and national news for saving the life of two Jet Skiers in the direct path of an on-coming Cruise Ship and also a female patron at a local restaurant who was choking.
In both cases, Deputy Primmer acted quickly and bravely to save all three victims from potentially life threatening incidents, while also putting himself in harm’s way to save the Jet Skiers.
While Deputy Primmer was thankfully uninjured, he did submerge enough in the water to activate the auto-inflate device on his life vest which as you can tell in the photo seems to be working perfectly.
Taner knows we are all laughing with him about the incident, which does by the way illustrate a great point of always having your flotation device on, in the event of an accident or emergency.
Thanks Taner for being such a great sport and for letting us have a little fun while also helping protect our community.
