Chevron gas station at 2700 on US 1 in Cocoa

Cocoa Police Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division have recovered a credit card skimmer from a Chevron service station at 2700 on US 1 in Cocoa.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa Police Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division have recovered a credit card skimmer from a Chevron service station at 2700 on US 1 in Cocoa.

The device is used to steal credit card information from unsuspecting patrons of the business.

The “skimmer” was discovered by a maintenance worker conducting an inspection of the fuel pumps.

Police say it is not known when or how long the device was in place.

Customers who made fuel purchases at this location should immediately contact their credit card company to verify all recent purchases.

They may also report suspicious activity to the Cocoa Police Department at 321-639-7620.
