Families Invited For Sunset and Stargazing Event at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge

The UF/Brevard Extension Services invites families to see wildlife on the move and to take a beautiful sunset tour of the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, June 24, at 1987 Scrub Jay Way in Titusville.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The UF/Brevard Extension Services invites families to see wildlife on the move and to take a beautiful sunset tour of the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, June 24, at 1987 Scrub Jay Way in Titusville.

The tour will be followed up by stargazing through telescopes under the stars, and unpolluted by bright city lights.

The event is part of the Youth Ecology & Conservation Series (Y.E.S!) which is a unique University of Florida/IFAS Brevard County Extension program.

The mission of Y.E.S! is to teach and inspire young people to learn about and conserve their natural outdoor environment with a combination of hands-on, classroom and field activities.
