REPORT: Crime Rate Dropped 8.7% In Satellite Beach, 5th Consecutive Year For Reduction

The Uniform Crime Report (UCR) for 2016 has been released by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

BREVARD COUNTY • SATELLTLE BEACH, FLORIDA – The Uniform Crime Report (UCR) for 2016 has been released by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

“I am proud to report that the overall crime rate dropped 8.7% in Satellite Beach,” said Satellite Beach Police Chief Jeff Pierson on Facebook.

“This is the fifth consecutive year that the crime rate has dropped and is a direct result of the outstanding work that the men and women of the Satellite Beach Police Department do on a daily basis.

I couldn’t be more proud of the dedicated team of professionals that work hard every day to provide a safe environment for every citizen and visitor in Satellite Beach. I hope you will join me in congratulating them for a job well done.”
