UPDATE: Police Locate James Gergely In Wauchula After Issuing A Silver Alert

**UPDATE**– James Gergely has been located in Wauchula, Florida by the Hardee County Sheriff’s Office. Wauchula is approximately 23 miles West of Sebring, Florida. Police say Gergely appears to be in good health.
BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The Palm Bay Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for James Gergely, 73, a white male who was last seen wearing a white polo shirt with blue shorts and gray shoes.
According to Palm Bay Police Lt. Mike Bandish, Public Information Officer, Gergelye is 5-feet-8-inches tall, weighs 180 pounds and has silver hair.
Lt. Bandish said that Gergely left his Palm Bay home at 4:45 p.m. on Friday, driving a red Ford Fusion four door sedan, Florida tag 4040HP.
“Gergely is a diabetic, suffers from anxiety disorder and has not taken his medication,” said Lt. Bandish in a release.
“He also told his wife that he wanted to buy a gun and shoot himself. He has poor eye sight and hearing. The last information we have had was he was in Indian River County near Vero Beach.”
