BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Four Space Coast weavers are among the artists included in the exhibit “Threads of our Lives: Celebrating 75 years of Weaving in Central Florida” at the Orange County Regional History Center in downtown Orlando. The exhibit runs until October 8.

The Weavers of Orlando, a central Florida group including members from five neighboring counties, is celebrating its 75th year of promoting textile art.

The exhibit explores the history of weaving, and showcases surprising colors and textures in functional, wearable, and decorative art made by Central Florida craftspeople who bring a modern twist to this age-old tradition.

A highlight of the show is a wedding dress with fabric handwoven and tailored by Diane Click of Merritt Island.
