Suntree United Methodist Church To Host Free Patriotic Celebration July 2

Sunday, July 2 on the church grounds at 4:30 P.M.
BREVARD COUNTY • SUNTREE, FLORIDA – Suntree United Methodist Church is pulling out all the stops for Suntree Stars & Stripes, a large and completely free patriotic celebration on Sunday, July 2 on the church grounds at 7400 N. Wickham Road.
The fun starts at 4:30 p.m., with an assortment of activities for the kids, including a bounce house, old fashioned games, face painting and a balloon artist.
Firefighters from Brevard County Fire Rescue Station #80 in Suntree will be on hand with their fire engine to join in the celebration.
At 5:30 p.m. a free dinner of hamburgers and hot dogs will be served, along with cookies and lemonade. At 6:30 p.m., the action moves indoors, for a concert of patriotic favorites featuring the Melbourne Municipal Band.
The Suntree United Methodist Chancel Choir will be joined by a Festival Chorus of community singers for a concert of well-loved songs celebrating America.
The band and chorus will be led by Staci Cleveland and Dr. Robert E. Lamb, respectively.

Director of Traditional Music at Suntree United Methodist Church and Professor of Music at Eastern Florida State College, Dr. Robert E. Lamb is looking forward to welcoming old and new friends to Suntree Stars & Stripes.
“Suntree United Methodist Church is inviting the whole community to an enormous patriotic celebration here on the church grounds,” said Lamb.
“It will be an afternoon and evening of fun, food and music – all of it completely free. Taking time to gather with our neighbors is part of what it means to be American.”
