Three Men Injured, Airlifted To Hospital After Overnight Shooting In Cocoa

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa Police are investigating a late night shooting Monday night that injured three people, according to Yvonne Martinez of the Cocoa Police Department.
Police say at around 11:30 p.m., dispatchers received multiple 911 calls about shots fired at the Village Green Apartment complex near 1717 Dixon Blvd.
As officers arrived, they located two adult black men with gunshot wounds.
As a result, both victims had to be airlifted to a nearby hospital.
During the police response, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office was conducting a traffic stop on Clearlake Road in which they were made aware of a third man, who was later located, and airlifted to the hospital too.
Authorities say that at this time the injuries do not appear to be life threatening, according to Martinez.
Detectives are attempting to interview witnesses and gather evidence that will lead to the person(s) responsible.
