Symphony of the Seas will sail the Caribbean
ABOVE: The newest member of Royal Caribbean International’s Oasis class of ships, Symphony of the Seas, has been floated out of drydock at STX in France.
Saint Nazaire, France – Royal Caribbean’s Symphony of the Seas, the largest cruise ship ever built at 230,000 tons, touched water for the first time last week when the ship was floated out of dry dock at the shipyard in France.
Symphony will be the world’s largest cruise ship, offering 28 more staterooms than her newest sister ship Harmony of the Seas and is 3,000 tons more than Harmony of the Seas. Symphony is 1,188 feet long.
The newest member of Royal Caribbean International’s Oasis class of ships, Symphony of the Seas, is now one step closer to full completion as her April 2018 debut approaches. Symphony of the Seas is expected to sail to the Caribbean out of Miami.
With the exterior now complete, Symphony of the Seas was floated out of her dry dock last week to begin the next phase of interior construction.
Touting new features and amenities for guests, Symphony of the Seas also will boast all the groundbreaking innovations and thrilling experiences that have garnered world-wide recognition for Harmony of the Seas.
