UPDATE: One Man Dies After Being Struck By Lightning Near Satellite Beach, Second Victim In Hospital

Brevard County Fire Rescue officials have reported that two men were struck by lightning Friday along the beach near the 500 block of State Road A1A in Satellite Beach.

BREVARD COUNTY • SATELLITE BEACH, FLORIDA – One of two men struck by lightning  on Friday afternoon has died, according to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

Brevard County Fire Rescue officials originally reported that two men were struck by lightning Friday along the beach near the 500 block of State Road A1A in Satellite Beach.

The identity of the dead man has not yet been released.

The condition of the second victim, who is in the hospital, is unknown at this time.
