The Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High’s Army JROTC academic team took first place in international competition against U.S. Army JROTC programs from around the world. BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High’s Army JROTC academic team took first place in international competition against U.S. Army JROTC programs from around the world.

The Brevard County team won the southeast regional competition, traveled to Washington, D.C., and ultimately beat a JROTC team from Stuttgart, Germany to rank No. 1 among Army programs.

This year, 1,498 JROTC teams from 50 states, four U.S, territories, Italy, South Korea, Germany and Japan competed in English, math, science, current events and leadership.
