BREVARD COUTNY, FLORIDA – Curt Smith has announced that he is running for re-election as Brevard County Commissioner of District 4.

Smith said that as he campaigns for his second and final term on the Commission because of term limits, he will highlight his ability to work with others in the community, and his effectiveness in helping bring brighter days to Brevard County.

“Our county is in a critical time of transition and we need conservative and thoughtful decision-making as we continue to fix our infrastructure, bring health back to our lagoon, support businesses, and keep taxes low for families and seniors,” said Smith.

He is currently serving as Chairman of the County Commission, and Chairman of the Indian River Lagoon Council.

Smith said his office has consistently addressed constituent issues throughout District 4, including roads, jobs, lower and fairer taxes, public safety and the health of the Indian River Lagoon.

Smith and wife Linda have a daughter and three grandchildren, and the family has lived in Brevard County District 4 for 31 years. He retired in 2013 after almost 27 years as the owner of a Macco auto-painting franchise in Melbourne.

“I would very much appreciate your support to keep District 4 and all of Brevard County a place where the quality of life matters and the residents enjoy living, working and playing,” said Smith.
