BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Port Canaveral Authority is seeking a Director Communications and Public Affairs.
The purpose of this position is to strengthen the scope of communications with internal and external stakeholders to support the Port’s brand in community, governmental, industry and media relationships.
This position is responsible for management and implementation of corporate communications, community outreach, media relations, and overall increasing public awareness.
This position provides input and support on a wide range of issues involving internal and external audiences and is also responsible for providing communications support for the Port’s key business lines.
This position will work directly with the Senior Director, Government and Strategic Communications to implement strategic messaging, prepare analyses, develop presentations, and oversee multi-disciplinary complex projects.
Must have expertise to handle complex situations and ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Must have demonstrated ability to deal with confidential/sensitive information and act as liaison between CPA and its constituencies, both internal and external.
Must possess the skills to collaborate effectively with others to achieve actionable results, and strong capability to build positive and sustainable relationships.
