BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A $10,000 donation from the Harris Foundation will help women and minority students at the Eastern Florida State College Public Safety Institute realize their goals of careers in public service.

The donation to the EFSC Foundation will create a $1,000 scholarship specifically for students pursuing Public Safety Institute degrees or certifications, funding awards for up to 10 students.

“Harris recognizes the importance of supporting education in our communities,” said Nino DiCosmo, president of Harris Public Safety and Professional Communications.

“Giving students the ability to gain a deep understanding of the mission-critical technology used in public safety will help prepare these future public safety professionals for success.”
