National Hurricane Center Continuing To Monitor Southeast Low Pressure System In The Atlantic

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – National Hurricane Center is still monitoring a low pressure system in the Atlantic that still has a high chance of formation by Friday, as of Wednesday afternoon.

NHC says the system is located about 850 miles west-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands and moving west-northwest.

The system is currently producing showers and thunderstorms near the center.

According to National Hurricane Center, the system still has a the potential to become a tropical depression before it reaches a drier and more stable air mass in the next day or two.

The chance of a formation over the next five days is 60-percent.
