New Cape Canaveral City Hall Will Feature Artwork From Resident Artists

Call for Artwork is still open

In anticipation of the grand opening of its New City Hall, the City of Cape Canaveral released a local Call for Artwork that has merited donations from several resident artists.

BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – In anticipation of the grand opening of its new city hall, the City of Cape Canaveral released a local “Call for Artwork” that has merited donations from several resident artists.

Giving local artists the opportunity to become community stakeholders in the City’s cultural landscape helps create a sense of place and helps showcase the unique character of our community.

Art and culture are integral parts of the City’s visioning; and Cape Canaveral is fortunate to have such talented resident artists that are willing to share their work.

As of today, the City has entered into acquisition agreements for the following pieces of art to be displayed in the New City Hall.

  • Mige Conley-Davey: CAPE CANAVERAL (donated)
  • Juliana Garces: SEA SHELLS (on loan)
  • Joe Godleski: BANANA RIVER AT SUNSET (donated)
  • Marlene Woodside: SNOWY EGRET (donated)

The Call for Artwork is still open and details can be found on the City’s website by clicking HERE.

All donations are subject to approval and not all art will be accepted.

Exhibitions in City Hall are subject to periodic rotation.
